What I, an Afghanistan Veteran, Think of the End of the War

This month, Pres. Joe Biden completed a military redeployment—plus a refugee evacuation—from Afghanistan. This marks a war that is one month shy of its 20-year anniversary. I have a cursory view of the political debate over this withdrawal, but I frankly don’t care what any pundit or politician claims to believe or says about the war’s end. I have heard it all before.
